The Oak Grove Aquatic Center was a Design Build project that features a multi-sectional leisure pool with underwater bench seating that includes a children’s play structure with zero-depth entry and shade structures, a 6-lane lap pool with stair entry, starting blocks, and 1-meter diving board, a lazy river, and a recreation area for water basketball.

Pearland natatorium

The City of Pearland’s Recreation Center and Natatorium consists of a 50-meter competition pool, administration offices, conference rooms, gym/weight rooms, aerobics room, multipurpose rooms, kitchen/prep area, pre-school/toddler rooms, dressing rooms, shower and bathing rooms, basketball and multi-purpose gymnasium, and handball/racquetball courts with plentiful on-site parking.

Prairieland village

Longwing Landing is situated on 4.5 acres in Bridgeland’s new Prairieland Village with two pools, lawn and event space, barbecue grills and tables, an activity center with an event hall overlooking a 40-acre lake, a rotating butterfly sculpture, and a caterpillar-themed playground. The aquatic features include an iconic butterfly-shaped pool with zero-depth entry, spray features, and sundeck for adults to cool off and unwind. A separate pool, divided by a concrete bridge, will be utilized for lap swimming, fitness, and relaxation. This project is sure to be a prominent aquatic landmark, and one of Progressive’s most notorious builds.

Forest island park

Forest Island’s free-form amenity pool has curved borders that define several swimming areas, creating the impression of multiple pools. A 42-foot slide tower and spray areas add enjoyment, and a baby pool offers safe fun for the tiniest swimmers. Ample seating makes the pool a great place for socializing, and a nearby plaza provides an inviting picnic spot. The recreation center was expanded to include a new fitness pool. With a focus on staying in shape, the pool is designed to cater to those who enjoy individual and group exercise, with five lap lanes and an area for aerobic exercise. After the workout, residents can relax on the sun deck.

Fort bend isd aquatic facility

This “training pool” has a lot to offer – From the pre-engineered steel structure, clad with semi-translucent roof panels, to the concrete shell and ceramic tiles gutters. With two fiberglass 6-foot bulkheads, Colorado Time Systems scoreboard and timing, the 75-foot by 213-foot, 930,000-gallon pool will accommodate any competitive and instructional configuration.

Grinnell college natatorium

The Grinnell College Natatorium features a 50-meter indoor competition pool and spa with two 1-meter diving boards, two 3-meter diving boards, two movable bulkheads, and starting blocks. This was an all-tile pool designed to accommodate water polo as well as high level collegiate competition. This project was designed by Counsilman-Hunsaker.

Iowa colony high school

Iowa Colony High School, part of Alvin ISD, broke ground in 2019. The 553,086-square-foot high school accommodates 2,500 students and includes top-notch amenities, such as a natatorium. The natatorium features an 8-lane, 75-foot competition pool that includes starting blocks and diving boards.

John burroughs school

At the John Burroughs School in St. Louis, a new natatorium opened in November 2020 that includes an 8-lane competition pool equipped for water polo, new locker rooms and spectator seating for 200+. The natatorium is part of a larger athletic enhancements project, impacting the school’s field hockey, golf, lacrosse and squash programs.

Keller pointe

Completed in August 2004, the facility showcases two bodies of water with the latest in multi-generational design, including a 6,100-square-foot indoor leisure pool with an open tube waterslide, closed flume waterslide, 200-square-foot whirlpool spa, four fitness lap lanes, and interactive play features. The second pool is a 10,900-square-foot outdoor leisure pool with an open tube waterside, lazy river, 1,250-square-foot sprayground, vortex, and interactive play features.

Kirkwood high school

Completed in 2015, Kirkwood High School’s 410,000-gallon, 25-meter indoor stretch competition pool provides a great opportunity to start building a program for both swimming and water polo. The $11 million natatorium can host dive and swim competitions simultaneously. The pool is equipped with a movable bulkhead, stair entry, 8 starting blocks, and two 1-meter diving boards.
