United Airlines Inflight Service Training Facility has a new aquatic center equipped with a 125,000-gallon pool, where trainees can practice evacuating a cabin full of passengers onto inflatable slides and rafts during an emergency water landing. The aquatic center also includes a mock fuselage with a cabin simulator to provide hands-on flight attendant training. With an additional 56,000-square-feet of classroom and training spaces, United can instruct 600 flight attendants per month during its six-and-a-half-week course.
