Landmark Aquatic transformed the Noah’s Ark splash pool at Houston First Methodist’s Quillian Memorial Center with a complete renovation designed to enhance play value, improve accessibility, and modernize the facility for years of family enjoyment.
The project began with the removal of the aging aquatic play structure and spray features, making way for a new Vortex interactive play structure featuring a variety of engaging water elements for children of all ages. To support the increased water demand of the new attraction, the existing feature pump was upgraded with a new 10-horsepower motor, providing the flow capacity needed to operate the play features efficiently and reliably.
The pool itself also received a complete aesthetic and functional renovation. Landmark removed the existing plaster and waterline tile before installing a new quartz plaster finish paired with vibrant blue and green waterline tile, creating a refreshed appearance while improving durability. To further enhance accessibility, portions of the existing coping and surrounding concrete deck were removed and reconstructed to create a true zero-depth entry, allowing guests of all abilities to enjoy the splash pool with ease.
The completed renovation revitalized the Noah’s Ark Splash Pool into a more inviting, accessible, and engaging destination.
