Landmark Aquatic partnered with the City of Lake Jackson through a multi-year renovation program to restore and modernize the Lake Jackson Recreation Center’s aquatic amenities, extending their service life while improving safety, reliability, and the overall guest experience.
The initial phase focused on the leisure pool. Landmark completely removed the existing plaster before applying approximately 4,400 square feet of new quartz plaster, providing a durable, long-lasting finish. As part of the renovation, all VGBA-compliant main drain covers were replaced, and the mechanical room was upgraded with new Schedule 80 PVC piping, improved plumbing layouts for easier maintenance, and new flow meters to enhance system monitoring and serviceability for facility operators.
Building on the success of the first phase, Landmark returned in 2026 to renovate the lap pool and other amenities. Improvements included replastering the lap pool, resurfacing the pool deck, restoring the gutter grating on both pools, installing a new children/s tot slide, and refurbishing the existing mushroom water feature. The project also followed the installation of a new pool heater in 2025, further improving the facility’s long-term performance and operational efficiency.
By approaching the project in phases, Landmark Aquatic helped the city maximize the life of its aquatic assets while minimizing disruption to the community. The renovations provide visitors with refreshed, modernized facilities and equip staff with more reliable, maintainable systems that will serve Lake Jackson for years to come.
