Landmark Aquatic served as the aquatic contractor for the Franklin Wellness Center, a 60,000-square-foot health and wellness facility located on the campus of Franklin Foundation Hospital. Designed to bring physical health, rehabilitation, and wellness services together under one roof, the center serves approximately 20,000 patients annually and provides a comprehensive destination for preventative care, fitness, and community wellness.
As part of the project, Landmark Aquatic constructed the facility’s aquatic amenities and provided and installed the filtration, recirculation, and chemical treatment systems that support safe, reliable operation. The aquatics area encompasses approximately 9,550 square feet and includes a four-lane lap pool as well as a dedicated therapy pool, both equipped with stair entries, ADA lifts, and other safety equipment
The 1,840-square-foot lap pool accommodates fitness swimming, low-impact exercise, and community aquatic programming, while the 715-square-foot therapy pool provides a specialized environment for rehabilitation and therapeutic treatment. Together, these aquatic spaces play a vital role in the center’s mission to promote health, recovery, and long-term wellbeing.
The project presented unique logistical challenges due to its remote location, nearly two hours from New Orleans, as well as supply chain disruptions and evolving project requirements during the COVID-19 pandemic. Landmark Aquatic worked closely with the project team to navigate changing equipment availability, chemical system procurement, and design modifications while maintaining project momentum and delivering a successful outcome.
