Eagle Pointe Recreation Center

The City of Mont Belvieu’s Eagle Pointe Recreation Complex Wave Pool underwent a renovation completed at the end of 2022. Landmark Aquatic stripped the pool of plaster down to the concrete shell, and over 14,000 square feet of new plaster was poured. Carbon fiber concrete staples were used to achieve stabilization of a pre-existing pool floor crack, and pebble-tech coating was applied after the zero-depth entry coating was removed. In addition, new main drain covers were installed, and over 2,000 square-feet of eye-catching, blue-toned, 2-inch-by-2-inch tile were replaced.

The Eagle Pointe Recreation Center’s Splash Pool project was designed to expand aquatic recreation opportunities for families by creating a dedicated play environment for younger children. In Spring of 2026, Landmark Aquatic designed and built a new 2,450-square-foot splash pool adjacent to the existing wave pool, featuring a zero-depth entry and a custom aquatic play unit positioned at the center of the attraction. The new outdoor play pool holds approximately 18,000 gallons and operates with a highly efficient one-hour turnover rate, delivering both safe and enjoyable aquatic experiences for the community’s youngest guests. The project also included construction of a new pump and mechanical room outfitted with a complete modern system featuring advanced filtration, UV sanitation, VFD-driven equipment, chlorination and chemical feed systems, and chemical controls.

A major focus of the Splash Pool project was balancing the client’s vision with a strict project budget while still delivering a high-impact recreational amenity. Landmark Aquatic collaborated closely with Vortex and project partners including Neptune Benson, H2Flow, Chemtrol, Accu-Tab, and Hanovia to customize a cost-effective aquatic play structure that maintained the “wow factor” the client desired without exceeding budget limitations. The completed project now provides a safe, engaging destination specifically designed for younger children, complementing the existing wave pool and enhancing the recreation center’s appeal for families throughout the community.
