Deseret Peak Complex

Landmark Aquatic helped deliver a state-of-the-art outdoor aquatic facility featuring both a Myrtha lap pool and a Myrtha leisure/activity pool across more than 25,000 square feet of water surface area and over one million gallons of water capacity.

Key highlights:

The Deseret Peak Complex aquatic redevelopment is a transformative project designed to modernize one of Utahโ€™s premier outdoor recreation destinations while significantly expanding aquatic programming opportunities for the community. Working alongside partners Myrtha, Splashtacular, Aquify, and more, Landmark Aquatic helped deliver a state-of-the-art outdoor aquatic facility featuring both a Myrtha lap pool and a Myrtha leisure/activity pool across more than 25,000 square feet of water surface area and over one million gallons of water capacity.

The new complex includes a wide variety of recreational and competitive amenities, including a zero-depth entry leisure pool, diving well, waterslides and slide tower, lap swimming lanes with starting platforms, diving boards, water sports accommodations, ADA accessibility features, and upgraded mechanical and sanitation systems. The project also incorporated advanced filtration, UV sanitation, VFD-driven equipment, chemical control and feed systems, and comprehensive pump room renovations to ensure long-term operational efficiency and water quality.

One of the primary challenges of the project was constructing the entirely new aquatic facility on the site of the aging existing pool complex while maintaining project momentum and coordinating extensive site redevelopment efforts. The completed facility is part of a larger multi-phase enhancement initiative aimed at revitalizing the Deseret Peak Complex into a premier regional recreation destination for Tooele County and the surrounding communities. The redevelopment provides expanded opportunities for competitive swimming, family recreation, aquatic play, and community events while positioning the complex for future year-round use and continued growth.
