Landmark Aquatic served as the aquatic builder for Barron Swim School in Ballwin, Missouri, transforming a former retail space into a purpose-built aquatic facility. Following removal of the existing concrete floor, Landmark constructed the 2,160-square-foot, 58,246-gallon pool, including the installation of underground pool piping, pouring the concrete floor, and shooting shotcrete walls, steps, and benches. Interior finishes include cast-in-place coping, quartz aggregate, and decorative sea turtle tile inlays on underwater benches.
Landmark also installed the pool’s complete mechanical and water treatment systems. These systems include Poltank filtration, ChlorKing UV sanitation, Lochinvar heating, BECS chemical controls, and Pulsar chlorination. Additional features include Pentair underwater lighting, and Competitor lane lines and backstroke flags. The pool is complimented by sea creatures hung from the ceiling.
Through careful coordination and construction within the constraints of an existing building, Landmark Aquatic helped convert a former grocery store into a specialized aquatic environment designed to support Barron’s growing range of instructional and recreational programs.
