Landmark Aquatic Expands Design Team with Addition of Veteran Engineer and Project Manager, Reed Gonzalez, PE
Landmark Aquatic is proud to announce the expansion of its design team with the addition of Reed Gonzalez, PE, an accomplished aquatic engineer and project manager with more than two decades of industry experience designing, engineering, and managing complex aquatic projects across North America.
Reed’s career spans every corner of the aquatics industry — from operating his own regional waterpark to leading large-scale commercial and municipal design projects. Before joining Landmark, he spent over a decade with top design agencies in the industry where he managed increasingly complex projects and served as the primary pool mechanical designer for Universal’s Volcano Bay where he collaborated closely with the project management team to design, engineer, and draft the pool hydraulic and mechanical systems for one of the world’s most innovative waterpark destinations.
Throughout the course of his career Reed has overseen aquatic designs for multiple high-profile clients including Great Wolf Lodge and Kalahari Resorts and has led many high profile municipal projects, including the acclaimed Hampton Aquaplex in Virginia and the Grand Junction Recreation Center in Colorado — both celebrated for their innovation and design excellence.
“Reed’s proven ability to manage large, multifaceted aquatic projects while maintaining exceptional design and engineering standards makes him an incredible addition to our team,” said Matt Cappello, PE, Director of Design at Landmark Aquatic. “His insight and passion for aquatic design will strengthen our ability to deliver innovative, high-performing aquatic environments for our clients.”
Reed brings a blend of technical expertise, creative problem-solving, and enthusiasm for the future of aquatics. With extensive experience working across many systems, including Neptune Benson/Xylem, Splashtacular, Life Floor, Myrtha and Paddock Pools, Reed’s expertise lies in delivering full 3D hydraulic and mechanical system designs, pump and equipment selections, and detailed hydraulic calculations.
A self-proclaimed amusement industry fan, Reed brings both technical mastery and genuine enthusiasm for the industry’s evolution — he’s as excited about the newest roller coaster opening as he is about developing the next great aquatic experience — and looks forward to helping Landmark shape what’s next in the aquatic landscape.
