Landmark Aquatic Completes Brazosport ISD Pool Replacement Ahead of Schedule.
Early Opening Gives Student Athletes a Competitive Edge
Clute, Texas – Landmark Aquatic has completed the Brazosport ISD Pool Replacement for Brazoswood High School, delivering a modern, competition-ready aquatic facility ahead of schedule and on budget. The new pool immediately supports one of Texas’s most competitive high school water polo programs and enhances the district’s long-term community and athletic programming.
Brazosport ISD selected Landmark Aquatic to replace its aging pool with a reliable, high-performance environment capable of meeting the demands of year-round training. The upgraded facility improves safety, increases training capacity, and provides a durable aquatic system designed for decades of consistent use.
“Brazosport ISD has an exceptional aquatics program, and we were proud to deliver a facility that supports their continued success,” said Keith Mohammed, Project Manager at Landmark Aquatic. “Opening early meant these athletes could prepare at the highest level.”
Engineered for a Complex Coastal Environment
The project’s low-elevation, coastal conditions required a continuous 24-hour dewatering system throughout construction.
All construction occurred on an active high school campus. Landmark coordinated closely with administrators and district leadership to ensure student safety, minimize disruption, and maintain clear, ongoing communication.
Partnerships Built on Trust and Performance
This project marked Landmark Aquatic’s first collaboration with Stewart Builders, and its success has already led to a second aquatic project together at another high school in the region.
The Brazosport project also included the trusted design team at Counsilman-Hunsaker, who were not only responsible for the aquatic design, but also provided construction administration for the District.
Newly promoted Superintendent Jesse Moreno played a key role in managing the construction team, ensuring execution of the district’s vision and the project’s momentum.
“Honestly, Landmark was excellent,” said Harrison Cardiff, Project Manager for Stewart Builders. “They even handled a lot of the electrical and plumbing work. I wish I could hire them for everything.”

Early Completion With Immediate Athletic Impact
With completion coming weeks early, Brazoswood’s boys’ and girls’ teams gained training access ahead of competition season. The timing couldn’t have been better.
“The boys made it to regionals, and the girls reached the state finals,” Cardiff added. “Because we opened early, both teams were able to start training in their new facility before competition season — it made a huge difference.”
Coaches noted that the upgraded facility gave athletes a more consistent training environment and helped the teams enter postseason play better prepared.
A Facility Built for Today—and the Future
The new aquatic center provides:
- A competition-ready pool environment
- Enhanced safety and water quality systems
- Increased training capacity for water polo and swim programs
- Long-lasting infrastructure designed for high-frequency use
- A modern, community-focused asset for Brazosport ISD
“We’re now working on another project together,” Cardiff said. “The experience has been just as positive.”
