Aquatic Engineering & Design Partners for Architects & Contractors

Specialized Aquatic Design & Engineering

We partner with architects and contractors who need trusted aquatic engineering experts from schematic design through construction. Our role is to provide precise, buildable documentation that ensures aquatic designs are engineered correctly and built to the highest operational and safety standards.

With more than 60 years of experience, we’ve built long-standing relationships with leading designers and builders nationwide. Together, we’ve collaborated on hundreds of projects—leaving a lasting mark on some of the country’s most iconic aquatic facilities.

Our aquatic designers and engineers specialize in creating high-performing aquatic environments that look great and operate flawlessly. Our experience is wide and deep, and spans aquatic environments, pools and features for community and municipal parks, competition and training facilities, wellness and therapy pools, resorts, hospitality, and water park pools and attractions.

Architects design the overall facility. We design the aquatics.

Our engineers translate architectural vision into code-compliant, fully engineered aquatic systems, including circulation, hydraulics, filtration, and all supporting infrastructure. Every detail is carefully coordinated to ensure the pool and surrounding aquatic infrastructure not only meets design intent—but operates efficiently, safely, and reliably for years to come.

Our Process

Concept & Feasibility

We collaborate early in the process to establish key fundamental project aspects including pool size, system type, and mechanical space requirements. Early integration helps control cost and ensures architectural compatibility. With the support of our Pre-Construction team, we provide accurate real-time aquatic budgets, well beyond a simple engineering estimate.

Design Development

We refine layouts, hydraulic calculations, and equipment room configurations coordinating closely with your architectural and engineering disciplines.

Construction Documents

We deliver fully detailed plans, schematics, and specifications ready for bid and permitting.  And our pre-construction team ensures that the project budget is met, avoiding any surprises on bid day.

Construction Administration & Commissioning
We assist during construction, reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, inspecting installations, and supporting system start-up to ensure the facility performs as designed.

Our role in the Design Team

We serve as an extension of your design team, providing all aquatic-specific engineering and documentation required for permitting, bidding, and construction. Working directly with architects, MEP, civil, structural and geotechnical engineers, and contractors, we ensure every pool system is seamlessly integrated within the building and site design.

Specialized Expertise

We focus exclusively on aquatic systems engineering.

Architectural Integration

Our designs support your vision, not compete with it.

Code & Health Compliance

We navigate complex aquatic codes around all local, state or international regulations.

Efficiency & Sustainability

We engineer systems that minimize energy, water consumption and maintenance costs.

Proven Experience

Our portfolio spans public, commercial, institutional and resort aquatic facilities worldwide.

Typical Deliverables in our design documents include

  • Pool, spa, and splash pad design documentation (plans, sections, details)
  • Hydraulic and filtration system design (flow diagrams, treatment schematics, surge/skimming/drain systems)
  • Equipment design and layouts (pump selection, equipment rooms, schedules, and specifications)
  • Piping, control, and chemical treatment systems (schematics, automation, monitoring)
  • Construction documentation (detailed specifications, bid packages)
  • Coordination with architectural, MEP, civil, structural, and geotechnical disciplines
  • Regulatory and code compliance support
  • Construction administration, commissioning, and reporting
